🍋The Marrakech limonette (Citrus limetta), also known as the Moroccan limetta or citron beldi, is a rare, highly aromatic citrus fruit native to Morocco.
It features a round, slightly ribbed shape with a distinct small apical nipple, turning a yellowish-orange color when ripe.

🍋Flavor and Characteristics
Taste Profile: Acidic and sour, but carrying a unique, complex floral and bergamot-like aroma.

🍋Juice & Zest: Extremely juicy with a rind heavily packed in flavorful essential oils.

🍋Tree: Vigorous, upright-spreading, and productive with purple-tinted new growth and buds.

🍋Culinary Uses
Preserved Lemons: Widely considered the ultimate traditional choice in Morocco for making salted, fermented "sleeping lemons" used in tagines and sauces.

🍋Fresh Prep: Squeezed to marinate fish and meat, or zested for baked goods and specialty cocktails.
